Early detection of cancer is a critical component to saving lifes and controlling healthcare costs - treating problems early has a profound impact on both quality of life and lifetime healthcare resource utiiization/expenditure. It makes sense all around to treat disease as early as possible, and Kheiron is trying to do just that by infusing artificial intelligence into medical imaging to detect cancer earlier for more patients. Based out of the UK, Kheiron has run several successful pilots within the NHS, with initial successes in breast cancer specifically and recently teamed up with tech powerhouse Microsoft to expand its tech and deep learning capabilities.
