According to Kindbody's founder, "infertility is widespread, more common than diseases like cancer or diabetes." Yet, fertility treatments have traditionally been incredibly expensive - creating a scenario where family planning for some families becomes financially unfeasible. Enter Kindbody, which owns and operates fertility clinics and contracts directly to employers. By creating a direct provision of fertility services to employers, they estimate savings of 25-30% or more. The system seems to be working - they've raised almost $300mn to date, and have a valuation well north of $1.8Bn by creating a business model that makes fertility treatment more affordable and accessible than previous iterations.
