Job Description:
We’re looking for empathic Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors to join our team and revolutionize the treatment of stimulant, alcohol, and cannabis addiction. This is an on-site position at our Henderson office providing virtual one-on-one and group sessions.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree
- Licensure/Certification: Required licensure or certification in Nevada (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, CADC, or LADC).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in group therapy within an SUD setting.
- Passion for Recovery: A genuine desire to help others in their recovery journey.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with technology, including EMR, email, software, and mobile apps. Comfortable with simultaneously using tech programs and concurrent documentation while conducting counseling sessions.

According to Affect Therapeutics, "about 46 million people struggle with a substance use disorder, but only 10% are able to access treatment." Kind of wild, but not as ingenious as how they are combatting the problem - they are paying patients for positive behaviors, ranging from small amounts for specific challenges up to dollar amounts for testing drug-free. Talk about positive reinforcement! A really interesting way to create a dopamine-reponse loop for patients struggling with addiction and similar challenges. (May 2024)
