If you're wondering what the future of telehealth physical therapy could look like, "computer vision" is one of the more exciting innovations out there. Think of "computer vision" as computer assisted physical therapy, where motion is tracked and analyzed without the need for sensors. This has obvious value in musculoskeletal physical therapy where joint motions, body mechanics, and postural inefficiencies all play a huge role in patient diagnoses (and aren't as well defined in 2D telehealth compared to in person/three dimensional analysis). And they've certainly developed the tech with a few big names - such as Google and the US Air Force. Pretty cool. (August 2024)
