Description Faculty Recruitment in Cellular Bioengineering at Center for Disease Neurogenomics (CDN) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC. We are inviting applications for tenure-track faculty positions (Assistant and Associate Professor level) forscientists who are working to develop human cell-based models of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. We are recruiting biomedical engineers, bioengineers, developmental biologists and molecular and cellular biologists who apply state-of-the-art approaches to cellular engineering and perform advanced screening and disease modeling for therapeutic discovery. We seek scientists with expertise in cellular screening and imaging methods, microfluidic technologies to permit engineering of neural interactions in a defined circuitry, and/or 3D printing of matrix proteins and cells to establish vasculature within three-dimensional neural organoids. The development of next generation human disease models will allow CDN members to resolve the interactions between genetic variants, cell types and molecular functions in an enhanced disease-relevant context.
