Roles & Responsibilities: The Saez lab in the Neuroscience, Neurosurgery and Neurology departments at Mount Siani is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher with expertise in human electrophysiology, decision-making modeling and/or mood disorders (major depressive disorder, MDD). The candidate will carry out research on the neurobiological basis of human cognition, focused on decision-making behavior. The research project will involve (1) working with patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and/or the Operating Room who are undergoing intracranial (electrocorticography, stereotactic EEG, deep-brain stimulation, voltammetry) recordings, (2) administering decision-making and other cognitive tasks and (3) analyzing the resulting datasets through computational modeling. Research paradigms will be conducted in close collaboration with the clinical Neurosurgery and Neurology teams. Requirements: Qualifications: A PhD, or MD/PhD in a relevant field (Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical engineering or related discipline) is required.
