Description Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, perform all required diagnostic MRI scanning procedures with knowledge of all pertinent technical and academic areas to produce consistent high quality examinations. Responsibilities Perform all required diagnostic MRI scanning procedures through proper positioning and technique, consistently demonstrating good judgment in evaluating the diagnostic studies. Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination (i.e. pain, claustrophobia, metallic objects, isolation patients, etc.). Obtain and review the requisition for examination to obtain information such as procedure requested, clinical history, patient condition or any other special requirements. Thoroughly explain procedure to be performed to alleviate patient anxiety and facilitate patient cooperation. Monitor the condition of any patient within the department and assist the radiologist in performing needed medical attention, if applicable. Comply with Hospital operational and safety policies and procedures. Comply with Hospital policies, procedures, and emergency procedures, where applicable.
