Description The Nursing Administrator is a registered professional nurse with progressive administrative experience. S/he supports Nurse Managers, Associate Nursing Directors and senior nursing leadership in the management of clinical units/specialty areas, fulfilling responsibilities for hospital and patient care services on assigned shifts. Responsibilities Roles & Responsibilities: Leads nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care and the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing for the promotion of the patient experience. Ensures the integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care. Collaborates with the physician dyad and escalates concerns as appropriate. Follows up on all patient concerns in a timely manner and provides service recovery as needed. Communicates to nursing leadership concerns or issues identified during huddle and throughout shift. Initiates service recovery for patients and family members who have concerns, and escalates to the Clinical Nurse Manager/Associate Director of Nursing or designee and Patient Relations as needed.
