    Description Cytotechnologist performs primary slide microscopic screening marking cells of interest, resulting of negative GYN Paps, helps perform QC of at least 10% negative GYN, together with Pathologists helps with 5-year look back, helps with cyto-histologic correlations, performs ROSE (Rapid On-Site Evaluation) for procedures, assists with triage and workflow of specimens, may assist with cytology slide and cell block preparation and quality control, may assist with clinical consults on specimen submission, checks pending lists on LIS and HIM, may assist with evaluation of adequacy for renal biopsies, and may help with periodic statistical comparison of individual metrics compared to national benchmarks. Cytotechnologist completes required documentation for specimens, QC, QA and PI. Cytotechnologist performs QC, QA and PI activities, including equipment operation and maintenance. Participates in training and education, self and for students, residents or clinical professionals.
