Description Endoscopy Associate, GI Unit, Mount Sinai West - Full Time, Evening 12pm-8pm The Endoscopy Associate performs various direct care activities for the patient under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse by providing direct patient care and related activities as assigned. The Endoscopy Associate also works under the direct supervision of an attending physician, and follows the guidelines and policies of the Department of Nursing Responsibilities Principal Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Practice 1.Performs and records patient's vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respirations. 2.Documents intake and output and other data as assigned 3.Reports any changes in the patients condition or abnormal values to the registered nurse as indicated 4.Sets up equipment for, and assists physician and RN with, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including, but not limited to, Upper Endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, manometry, spyglass, 24 hr ph, Bravo.
