Description The Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai is seeking motivated and independent Physician Assistant (PA) to help conduct clinical research studies focused on substance use disorder and treatment interventions. The position requires providing safe and competent care to individuals participating in research studies and clinical trials. The PA will utilize appropriate professional judgment and critical decision-making in planning and providing care, screen research participants for study inclusion, administer medication, manage adverse events, and provide care to research participants in accordance with approved research protocols. Responsibilities Responsible for patient care regarding patient management, diagnosis, treatment planning and ordering of pertinent tests, therapeutics and medications as noted by NYS law and hospital policy/by-laws (includes controlled substances with DEA licensure).
