Description Collects, routes and sorts all incoming, outgoing and interoffice mail. Operates and maintains postage metering machines. Performs customer service functions at service window. Responsibilities 1. Sorts inter-office and incoming mail including parcel post. Breakdown incoming mail by inter-office, patient and advertising. Separates further by department and patient location. May call Central Information for updated patient information. Re-routes mail not deliverable as address indicated. May notify addressee for mail pick-up. May deliver mail. 2. Sorts outgoing mail in predetermined categories, i.e., foreign, domestic, registered, insured and certified. Weigh mail and affixes proper postage following established guide of postage rates. Processes outgoing, registered, certified and insured mail. May bundle mail for Post Office pick-up. May deliver outgoing mail to Post Office. May collect outgoing and interoffice mail deposited as assigned depots throughout the Medical Center. 3.
