Description The Medical Assistant Relations Associate is responsible for effectively and efficiently providing patient procedures as ordered by the physician under the guidance of licensed medical staff (LPN, RN, NP or MD). In addition, provides clerical support necessary for efficient and effective functioning of the office. Responsibilities 1. Performs EKGs as ordered by the physician 2. Performs lab testing as ordered by the physician 3. Performs PFT as ordered by the physician 4. Admits patient to the exam room and takes vital signs, medical history, medication history and allergy history. Height and weight as indicated 5. Performs quality controls 6. Ensures that the patient referrals are completed and forwarded appropriately 7. Documents appropriately any treatment 8. Documents any telephone contact with the patient 9. Documents in the lab accession log and outside medical testing log as per established procedure 10. Adheres to universal precautions and OSHA Regulations 11.
