Description Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist - Radiology - Staten Island - Full Time - Day - OFFSITE The Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist is responsible for completing all referrals and pre-certification requirements according to established protocols. Responsibilities Obtains referral and/or precerts for patients for internal and external appointments and/or orders. Communicate information pertaining to referrals and/or precerts to patients, external medical offices, and internal staff as per established protocol. Performs other related duties. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent No experience is required, 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred as follows: Experience in processing prior-authorizations and referrals is preferred. Understands requirements for Internal WMG referrals as well as Outgoing Referrals.
