Description The individual in this position will be responsible for developing and coordinating programs to prevent traumatic injury through public and professional education and facilitation of access to the educational and clinical resources of the MSM Trauma Center. The position will require collaborating with different agencies and working with the public to share injury prevention information utilizing various methods ranging from flyers to a website to formal classes. The programs developed will be based on data derived from the trauma registry to focus on the injury types and problems we see in our urban NYC neighborhood. Increasing public awareness of the extent of traumatic injuries will be used as both a method for prevention and a means of outreach to increase referrals and access to MSM.
