Description Performs initial examinations and provides physical therapy interventions to the Mount Sinai Hospital Emergency Department's Geriatric patient population. Works under the supervision of the Therapy Manager (Inpatient/Acute). This position requires a minimum 1 year of acute care/hospital Physical Therapy experience and must demonstrate ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team (physician, social work, case management). The candidate chosen for this position will work exclusively in the Emergency Department, collaborating with our Geriatric medicine teams for the safest outcomes of this population. An APTA Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) certification is strongly preferred for this position. Responsibilities 1. Performs initial examinations, establishes appropriate goals, plans and implements treatment interventions, performs timely re-examinations and modifies goals and treatment interventions accordingly. Coordinates with other disciplines when indicated. 2.
