Description Supervises, oversees, organizes schedules and evaluates assigned subordinates in specific areas or shifts in Department of Radiology. These staff are engaged in performing radiology procedures. Performs duties of subordinates as necessary. Responsibilities Roles & Responsibilities: Professional position supervising a professional and technical staff at Mount Sinai Brooklyn, Department of Radiology. Manages all technical and support activities of the Radiology Department which provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency radiological services. Oversees and manages the overall operations of the department. Organizes, directs and controls the day to day activities of a large multi-faceted radiology department. Responsible for clinical areas including diagnostic, special procedures, ultrasound, CT scans, Nuclear Medicine. Prepares and maintains work schedules, adjusting schedule as necessary to work out difficulties caused by illness, vacations, emergence situations, backlog of patient, examinations, etc. Interviews and recommends hiring, discipline and when necessary, discharge of subordinates.
