Description The Certified Surgical Technician has knowledge and expertise in operating room technology, and is responsible for assisting in the performance of routine and delegated functions under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse or Physician Responsibilities Role & Responsibilities: Assists in the care of patients in the Operating Room and related areas under the direct supervision of the professional nurse Assists in the care, preparation and maintenance of sterile and un-sterile equipment Demonstrates ability to apply principles of sterile technique Assists circulating nurse Assists in the safe transfer and positioning of patients according to accepted procedure Qualifications Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited CST Training Program.
