Description Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager of Patient Care Services in Psychiatry The Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations of the unit. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, and internal and external regulatory and survey requirements. Responsibilities In this highly visible role, you will be charged with the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient 32-bed Psych Unit. Your excellent people skills, organizational ability, and talent for communication will serve you well, as you lead your staff and build relationships with physicians and other hospital employees. 24-hour responsibility for a 32-bed inpatient adult Psychiatric Unit. Responsibilities include unit budget, recruitment, staff management, time schedules, maintenance of OMH/JCAHO Standards, and implementation and evaluation of Quality performance initiatives.
