Description

Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluates all technical and clerical matters in the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratories, with respect to electronic and mechanical equipment and the overall quality of technologist output. Recommends actions to be taken to the Administrator and Chief of Vascular Surgery regarding new equipment, maintenance of the present equipment and on-going functioning of the Vascular Lab. Ensures that standard equipment quality assurance, maintenance and calibration. Procedures are followed and that appropriate documentation/logs are kept. Coordinates on-going quality control checks on equipment performance and the caliber of laboratory studies, reports, waveform tracings, photographs and auditory signals and takes corrective actions as appropriate. Initiates requests for equipment repairs and ensures completions. Conducts and coordinates on-going quality control checks with the hospital’s Biomedical Service on equipment. Ensures the continued quality of laboratory studies, reports, waveform tracings, photographs, and auditory signals; formulates technical charts for evaluation of above data.
