Description

Description The Quality Improvement Analyst is responsible for abstracting data for surgical quality initiatives, with a focus on the Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI). This is accomplished through high-quality medical record review, data abstraction, accuracy verification, and entry of data into the applicable databases for all eligible surgeries at multiple hospitals within the Mount Sinai Health System. The Quality Analyst also works closely with the quality team to review complications submitted by clinical providers, as well as the lead vascular surgeon to verify data accuracy. As needed, the analyst can expect to pull data reports for presentations and quality meetings, and work on process improvement initiatives. This position is based with the Surgical Quality team at the Mount Sinai Hospital, with the option to work remotely several days per week.
