Description Patient Accounts Associate-Patient Financial Services-Customer Services -Corporate East 42nd Street- Full-time Days The Patient Accounts Associate collects, analyzes and reports on data within the Patient Accounting System(s). This individual reviews specific cases, researches accounts, prepares reconciliations and tracks any requested data. Responsibilities Reconciles daily cash postings from bank lockboxes and third party (835) electronic remittances. Researches any payments received that cannot be initially identified. Prepares weekly Excel spreadsheets. Responsible for refund and credit card transactions. Works required TRAC billing work lists of deficiencies. Provides and assists units with inter/intra departments (hospital/FPA) with unapplied cash payments. Works all assigned listings from Patient Accounts System. Reviews accounts through various third party websites. Coordinates with outside parties for account validation. Communicates and works with inter/intra departments. Attends seminars and workshops. Ability to adapt to any new systems implemented. Performs other related duties. Qualifications HS/GED, Associates degree preferred.
