Description Responsible for the IV Sterile Manufacturing area that includes Chemo, TPN and IV preparations as well as the repackaging operation for unit dose dispensing. Also responsible for the EPA and hazardous waste for pharmaceuticals. Supervises the work activities of approximately one dozen pharmacists, six technicians and affiliating students. Responsibilities Overall responsibility for the IV Sterile Manufacturing area, with supervision of pharmacy and technical staff and students. Develops and implements systems and procedures for smooth workflow within the pharmacy and assigned areas. Hires, evaluates and discharges subordinate staff, and conducts yearly performance appraisals. Orders pharmacy products and supplies according to established procedures, and maintains an inventory of supplies sufficient to meet department demands. Attends department meetings to provide Pharmacy Department input and exchange of information. Implements, reviews and participates in revision of policies and procedures.
