Description Quality Improvement Research Analyst-Quality Assurance Corporate- Full-Time Days Hybrid The Quality Improvement Research Analyst is responsible for preparing data abstractions and analyses of clinical data; assisting in the design and testing of data collection instruments and assisting in project management and research activities. The Analyst works within the Quality Assessment and Improvement Department to collect and evaluate clinical data as part of the hospital's Performance Improvement Program. The primary focus of this role is to maintain compliance with the collection of data related to measurement mandated by the JCAHO, CMS, and by the NYS DOH. Responsibilities Abstraction of data related to JCAHO Core measures, CMS Publicly Reported Measures, and other data as mandated by NYS DOH, IPRO, and other regulatory agencies On a daily basis, utilize expert knowledge of measure-specific/indicator-specific inclusion and exclusion criteria for mandated measure sets Daily abstraction of both paper and electronic patient records based on established tools Daily data entry into MHA web tools ...
