Description The Bioinformatician I manages and organizes large databases, and conducts statistical and genomic analysis. Uses software to gather, store, manipulate and analyzes research data. The laboratory in ‘Genomics of Aging and Psychiatry spectrum’ – GAPsLab at the Institute of Genomic Health and the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is a new multi-disciplinary research group focused on studying the role of mental health on aging and age-related conditions Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PIs), the Bioinformatician/Human Genetic Data Analyst will provide analytical expertise to support cutting-edge research projects. The role focuses on genomic data analysis, systems biology, and computational modeling within the context of aging, psychiatry, and disease mechanisms.
