Description Performs clerical and receptionist duties essential to the operation of patient care as directed and also receives instructions from physicians and nurses. Responsibilities Identifies by use of the plate imprinter, the stationery (e.g., Kardex Chart Forms) and requisitions of each patient Maintains up-to-date and accurate patient rosters (e.g., locator board, TPR, BP, weight book Maintains a system for tracking the location of each patient on the unit Transcribes physicians orders and follows through appropriately in their implementation Schedules with appropriate departments and/or individuals, patient appointment, treatments, diagnostic procedures, etc. Maintains neat and orderly bulletin boards. Posts and removes information appropriately in order to keep data current Responsible for maintenance of patients charts Graphs appropriate data in the patients charts Removes selected excess pages from the patients charts and stores properly Files and/or staples laboratory and tests results into patients charts, (including computer print-outs) Checks all patients charts daily for completeness, order and proper identity Assigns RNs in Orchestrator ...
