Roles & Responsibilities: The Programmer Analyst IIdevelops, designs, implements and documents modifications to both vendor supplied and in-house operating systems to meet specific needs of the installation. Responsibilities 1. Works from or writes specifications to develop or modify software programs that will improve the efficiency of the operating system. 2. Develops logic, codes, tests and debugs software packages defined by higher-level software programmers or self. 3. Modifies, tests and debugs vendor supplied utilities, packages and engineering releases to better suit them to the operating environment. 4. Assists in developing and modifying relatively complex software, such as routines supporting multi programming, telecommunications and file management. 5. May provide assistance and training to other Programmers. 6. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
