Description The Clinical Nurse Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse with twenty-four hour responsibility and accountability for the management of a designated patient care area, who develops and sustains an environment that supports excellence in clinical practice, patient care and unit management, and consistently demonstrates a professional commitment to patients, their significant others, and staff. Responsibilities 1.Clinical Leadership Develop, implements and evaluates standards of care and professional practice in collaboration with members of the health care team in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory agency requirements. Provides and manages staff educational ability to provide safe, high quality and competent care. 2.Coordinates care delivery and the assignment of staff based on the identification of immediate post-operative needs and competency. 3.Manages expenses to stay within the budget guidelines outlined for the unit.
