Description Doctor Of Audiology-ENT FP Audiology-New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai-Full Time, Days The Doctor of Audiology performs and interprets diagnostic audiological testing as well as fitting of hearing aid devices, and counsels’ patients/families. Prepares diagnostic reports and interacts with referring physicians. Provides diagnostic and rehabilitative services by assessing and treating children and adults with hearing, balance or communication disorders. Responsibilities Conducts and interpret behavioral measures to identify dysfunction in hearing and other auditory related systems. Selects, evaluates, fit, and facilitate adjustments to and dispense hearing aids/devices for hearing loss and protection. Measurement and interpretation of computerized, electrophysiological methods to assess balance function. Measurement and interpretation of sensory and motor evoked potentials. Performs physician coverage for audiological evaluation in a timely and effective manner. Provides supervision to persons enrolled in 4th year Au.D. programs. Completes documentation for services in an appropriate and timely manner as required by the department policy, regulatory and third party payor requirements. ...
