Description Responsible for managing the front end operations and supervising scheduling staff of the Department. Ensures successful execution of administrative and billing functions and policies resulting in smooth administrative operations, patient and staff satisfaction, and a financially sound practice Responsibilities 1. Assist MD’s (faculty and voluntary) with computer training and access in order to do cases in the labs 2. Monitors daily activities and generates short and long-term reports for department and hospital leadership as needed 3. Works closely with staff to provide efficient flow 4. Assures adequate administrative staff coverage during operating hours 5. Oversees and resolves problems relating to systems including appointments, registration, physician referrals, medical records, staff/patient relations and billing 6. Determines opportunities to improve efficiency and assure adequate patient access 7. Performs special projects to evaluate methods and procedures for processing work or improving operating efficiency/effectiveness of the practice 8. Develops alternative approaches where necessary 9.
