Description The BMT Administrative Coordinator is responsible for coordinating workup testing and insurance authorization, as well as scheduling of bone marrow harvests, stem cell collections, and infusions for the Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplantation, Cellular Therapy, and Multiple Myeloma programs. The Administrative Coordinator works with a team of colleagues to perform these tasks. Responsibilities Responsible for coordinating all steps of bone marrow/peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC), CAR T-cell therapy, and gene therapy collection workups. Interacts with patients and family members to coordinate scheduling. Contacts insurance companies to initiate harvest and transplant cases. Reports workup scheduling and insurance authorization status to the clinical team. Collaborates with various departments for a patient-friendly schedule and experience. Ensures that appropriate orders have been entered in the EHR. Maintains and completes all insurance assessment forms and agreements. Ensures forms are accurate for claims processing.
