Description Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer-Echocardiogram Nursing - STL- Mount Sinai Morningside-Full Time- Days-9am-5pm-Rotating Saturdays The Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for providing exceptional patient care. This individual will help lead the performance of diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular systems on patients and to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel disorders. Participates in the non-invasive cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities Demonstrates competency in the techniques and range of equipment used in current medical practice for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Performs echocardiogram, exercise stress echocardiogram testing and Dobutamine stress echocardiogram testing and/or vascular ultrasound exams and vascular stress testing (PVR), per credentialing, to aid in diagnosis of the cardiovascular system. Responsibilities may include to train and conduct performance of fetal echocardiograms in pediatric setting. If in a pediatric setting, may perform transthoracic echocardiogram examinations in pediatric and congenital cardiac patients, from neonatal to adult age range.
