Description The Clinical Assistant Professor at the Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing (PSON) demonstrates competence and strong interest in and commitment to the teaching mission of the School of Nursing. The Clinical Assistant Professor works closely with nursing students in accelerated and RN to BS academic programs through lectures, clinical simulation learning activities, and through experiential learning in acute care and community health settings. The Clinical Assistant Professor applies the most current educational theories to teaching and learning which supports students at all levels. Responsibilities Teaching Responsibilities: Teaches assigned lecture, clinical and simulation courses in baccalaureate (accelerated bachelors and RN to BSN completion) and graduate programs. Demonstrates an understanding of contemporary teaching strategies including active learning, simulated experiential learning, and clinical experiential learning in hospital or other health care settings or in community care situations as required by course assignments.
