    Description The Pharmacy Resident provides pharmaceutical care to unit specific patients including the establishment of therapeutic endpoints and monitoring parameters. Responsibilities 1. Performs all duties associated with the Registered Pharmacist position within the scope of licensure. 2. Initiates and documents pharmacist interventions to change prescribing where required. 3. Participates in patient care rounds as appropriate. 4. Contributes to and participates in the departmental medication use evaluation plan, including but not limited to CMI (Clinical Management Initiatives). 5. Reviews current medical/pharmacy literature regularly for recent developments in disease state therapeutics as well as new product development. 6. Provides health professionals with drug information and/or references. 7. Prepares periodic information as newsletters for physicians, nurses and pharmacists regarding drug therapy and administration. 8. Provides inservice education seminars and programs to the pharmacy staff and other health care professionals. 9. Facilitates preparation of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee material. 10.
