Description The Clinical Coordinator for Radiation Therapy Education and Research is responsible for correlating clinical and didactic education for radiation therapy students, evaluating student clinical performance, participating in didactic and/or clinical instruction and supporting the program director to help assure effective program operation and curriculum set forth by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). This individual participates in radiation therapy research and assist radiation therapists with their research initiatives. The incumbent requires credentials as a Registered Radiation Therapist, as well as experience in teaching, clinical practice and research. Responsibilities Facilitates student clinical education and ensure clinical compliance as defined by the JRCERT. Educates students in clinical settings across the Mount Sinai Health System. Organizes student site placements and clinical evaluation. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with radiation therapy staff within the radiation oncology departments across the Mount Sinai Health System.
