Description

Description The Rehabilitation Specialist performs all duties and responsibilities of the staff and senior occupational therapist in addition to providing training to staff. The Rehabilitation Specialist ensures quality care and consistency in treatment approaches, as well as provides consultation with staff in area of expertise. Responsibilities 1.Administers occupational therapy intervention to referred and assigned patients and consults with physician, team, patient and caregivers to determine realistic goals prior to and during the team conference. 2.Provides hands-on, supervision and consults to staff in area of expertise. 3.Conducts in-service training and provides current research information as appropriate to all staff and students. 4.Maintains patients daily attendance and statistical records. 5.Responsible for program development and implementation. 6.Provides patient care coverage for absent staff as necessary. 7.Performs regular patient chart audits to ensure documents are in compliance with department policies. 8.1-2 continuing education courses per year. 9.Performs other related duties. 10.Cover for Therapy Manager as needed.
