Neura Health is a venture-backed startup with a mission to improve access and quality of care for neurologic conditions. Our longer-term vision is to find cures by learning from the experience of every neurology patient. We were inspired to create Neura because of two critical problems in neurology: access and quality. Access is subpar because there are not enough neurologists in the country, so the average wait time is 4-6 months, with patients often having to travel hours to access the right specialist. Quality is subpar because diagnoses are based on self-reported data with significant recency bias.
Neura has raised $10.3m in funding from top investors including Next Play Ventures (the fund of former LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner), Pear VC (Gusto, DoorDash), KDT (Path.AI), and Norwest Venture Partners (Calm, Talkspace).

Here's an eye opening stat from Neura Health: "Migraine is the second leading cause of global disability, with the World Health Organization considering chronic migraine to be more disabling than blindness or paraplegia." If you've had a migrane before, you know just how crippling it can be. But, what you may not know is just how EXPENSIVE migraines are to insurers - "incremental cost of medical claims for a patient with migraine compared to a patient without migraine is $3,088 per year." With this in mind, Neura Health is a virtual neurology clinic aimed at proactively treating neurological conditions by "getting [patients] on the right combination of medications, lifestyle changes and proactive care." They are partnered with some of the biggest brand name healthcare entities in the US (see: Johns Hopkins) to fill this huge gap. How huge?
