Attending Psychiatrist - WHS

In this role, the Attending Psychiatrist diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.  Examines patients to determine general physical condition, following standard medical procedures. Orders or performs various tests, analyses, and x-rays to provide information on a patient’s condition. Diagnoses patient’s condition based on exams, tests and reports. Discusses results with patients and families. Prescribes and administers drugs and treatments. Organizes data concerning patient’s family, medical history, and onset of symptoms obtained from patient, relatives, etc. Determines nature and extent of mental disorder and formulates treatment program.
