    Job Description

    Sr. Network Engineer – Core Resources Datacenter

    The Sr. Network Engineer's primary job responsibility is to work closely with the other members of the Infrastructure and Operations teams to assess network connectivity requirements and implement standard (and sometimes bepoke) network solutions and mainstain state of good repair. These network services include but not limited to) core, distribution, access, WAN and edge layer routers and switches , Next-Gen Firewalls, and Application/Server Load Balancers at NYP’s campuses and data centers.

    General Responsibilities

    Provide technical leadership on large service projects that require network services. Create configuration files and templates for network switches and routers Create cable matrix and deployment runbooks. Assemble and rack mount network hardware Automate provisioning and onboarding of services. Create new VLANs, configure new interfaces, configure routing and switching protocols, configure Access Control Lists Determines and predicts impact of any assigned network moves, additions, changes, and decommissions Works on configuration tasks aimed at standardizing switch and router configuration settings per hardware and ...
