- Wound and Ostomy Care Nursing Assistant F/T Days
In this role, the Nursing Assistant provides, assist and support the Wound Care Nurse in addressing basic nursing care to all patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Candidate is responsible to assist Wound Care Nurses in all aspects of patient flow while maintaining a high quality of patient care in a compassionate and humane manner
- This includes, but is not limited to wound and ostomy care, management of supplies, bathing, ambulating, cleaning of patients, and to provide other given orders from the supervisor on duty, Nurse Manager and/or Assistant Nurse Manager
- This a full-time day shift Monday to Friday (8:30am-5:00pm) at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
- Previous Nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
