This role is responsible to help cover the volumes of microbiology testing and acting capacity to assist overseeing operations in the absence of the supervisor. This includes patient testing, quality control, validations, overseeing the inventory of reagents and supplies for these departments, being compliant with regulatory standards and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. This individual will fit as the primary lead of the microbiology department, to help cover testing during the day, including covering breaks and when other technologists are off. Also, offering guidance and direction, when needed for send out tests.
