Certified Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions, in accordance with established policies and procedures, to assist the practitioners and management in daily office operations. This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility. As a Certified Medical Assistant in our Primary Care and Multi-Specialty practice you will:
- Chaperone in the exam room with the Provider
- Prep and assist in the exam room
- Triage Patients
- Collects urine and draw blood samples
- Take and record height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients
This is a full time day (Monday-Friday 8:00am/7:00pm with possible late evening each week) position at NYP Medical Group Brooklyn located at 38 6th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Must be flexible, overtime as needed. Travel will be required to cover for other practice locations within Brooklyn.
Preferred Criteria
- Experience working in a busy healthcare environment
- Experience in a Urology practice preferred
- Strong Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Bilingual- Mandarin/Cantonese/Spanish or Russian speaking a plus
