Manager of Machine Learning Research Science

Role

As a Manager of Machine Learning Research Science, you will lead and mentor a team of highly skilled machine learning research scientists, driving SmarterDx’s most ambitious AI initiatives. Your role will focus on fostering innovation, setting strategic research priorities, and ensuring your team’s work aligns with the company's mission and business goals. Collaborating closely with clinical, engineering, and product teams, you will oversee the development, deployment, and evaluation of state-of-the-art machine learning solutions that address high-impact challenges in healthcare AI.

You will act as both a technical and strategic leader, shaping the MLRS team’s roadmap, guiding research methodologies, and ensuring high-quality execution of long-term, high-risk, high-reward projects. In addition, you’ll contribute to SmarterDx’s position as a thought leader in AI/ML through publications, presentations, and external engagement.
