Here's a term you should know about - "digital twin". Basically, if you can create a digital copy of something (like, say, a patient profile or DNA sequence), this means you can run an entire experiment digitally before in the real world. Here's a simpler explanation: imagine testing 1000 different treatment combinations on a patient before ever exposing the patient to any actual treatments. This is the space that Unlearn.ai is building towards in the clinical trials space - and they just added OpenAI's CTO (makers of ChatGPT) to their board. There are many players trying to unravel digital twins in healthcare, but having OpenAI's CTO on board is a huge signal. (November 2023)
