About the role
We are looking for an Intake Coordinator to join our Clinical Operations team.
This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a mission-driven organization looking to transform behavioral healthcare for youth. You will be an integral part of the Clinical Operations team, and work directly with our Clinical Services teams. As a member of the Clinical Operations team, you will be responsible for taking intake calls and walking new patients through the intake process. According to Handspring Health, "1 in 5 children in the US have a diagnosable mental health disorder...[yet] systemic barriers have made it impossible for most families to find timely or high-quality mental healthcare." This is pretty alarming, and the space where Handspring Health is building, combining both virtual and in person care. On a broader scale, we've been noticing a trend of companies moving from "virtual care" to "virtual first care" - an important distinction as hybrid treatment flows combining both telehealth and in person care continue to mature. A few final statistics from Handspring that are worth sharing: "50% of all mental illness begins by age 14, with 75% starting by age 24, [and] untreated mental illness often worsens over time."
